About Charles Edwards
Professional experience
I have over Twenty years of experience working in the Camera Department in the Film Industry - Lord of the Rings, King Kong, Eagle vs Shark, Boy to name a few features... During that time I have pursued my passion for the Still Image - applying the skills and techniques of framing and lighting learnt in Motion Pictures. I specialise in Fine Art, Black and White Film Photography - and can produce beautiful large scale Monochrome Prints in my own darkroom. Of course I can also shoot Colour! and can provide Digital files of any images taken. I prefer to work in an environmental setting when taking photo's of peoples, framing to convey their story and utilising the natural available light. I also have a flattering natural light space at home for Portraiture. Working in the film industry means I have some great relationships with several Hair/Makeup Artists.
