About Kirsty Joy Photography
Professional experience
Hi I’m Kirsty I am very much a people person, a life enthusiast, coffee loving mum of 2 and your photographer! I specialize in maternity and weddings but love to photograph families and children too! I found my love of photography many years ago on my mother’s old Olympus OM 10 film camera, finding any excuse to take it outside and run through a roll of film within 5 mins Since buying my first DSLR a few years back I have gone on to complete my Diploma of Professional Photography, won a handful of portrait awards in Australia and became a NZIPP Accredited Professional Photographer (New Zealand Institute of Professional Photographers) so it is safe to say my love for photography has blossomed into a rewarding and exciting career. I enjoy every minute of my job and feel lucky that I’m able to do something that I absolutely love and I put this love and passion into each and every image I produce. Starting Kirsty Joy Photography in 2015 in Australia, I have now moved home to Northland New Zealand basing myself in the Gorgeous Ruakaka near Whangarei. I have had the pleasure of photographing many weddings, families and children and meeting some very inspiring and beautiful people over the past few years. In January 2017 I joined the amazing kind-hearted team of volunteer photographers at Heartfelt NZ. To be a part of this amazing organization that gifts photographic memories to families going through the unthinkable is both emotional and rewarding. My husband and i couldnt have picked a better photogropher to capture our special day, absolutely wonderful photogropher with absolutely stunning pictures. Kirsty was super friendly and went way beyound her duty. So friendly and kind with our children wich was one of the most important things to us. Highly highly reccomend kirsty and her photography
